Senior Data Engineer

You will

• Assemble large, complex datasets that meet functional and non-functional business requirements (business cases).
• Prepare datasets from various sources by request.
• Take care of data warehousing as a process.
• Implement and support data model changes.
• Develop new integrations and data marts.
• Recommend ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Describe entities and lineage in our data catalogue.

What we expect from you

• Strong knowledge of primary DWH design methodologies.
• Strong experience with column-oriented databases, such as Vertica, PostgreSQL, and similar.
• MPP database experience.
• Expert knowledge of Structured Query Language (SQL) and relational algebra.
• Experience with Apache Airflow or Prefect.
• Good skills in Python and understanding of object-oriented programming paradigm.
• Good communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to use advanced English for different work and business purposes.
• Critical thinking and attention to detail.
• Decision-making skills and the ability to adapt to new changes.
• Ability to write concise and clear documentation.
• Capability of dealing with constructive criticism and knowing how to develop relationships with the team to achieve common goals.
• A good work ethic.

Nice to have:

• Ability to write and use DAGs and understanding of their architecture.
• Experience with Kafka.
