Data Scientist

Responsibilities

• Be embedded within one or more of MetaMap's product teams, and provide quick and useful insights into product usage and performance, to help advance product development.
• Develop and track key metrics that are relevant to the product team and to the company as a whole.
• Democratize access to product data across the company, by building self-service dashboards and tools that anyone can use.
• Frame, model and solve fuzzy and challenging data science and analytics problems in the converging identity, security and fraud space.

Skills

• 5+ years of experience in data science, analytics, and statistical modeling or relevant area.
• Strong experience with SQL and Python (as well as relevant packages, e.g. Pandas).
• Strong experience working with large datasets, loading and preparing data, framing fuzzy analytics problems and solving them, visualizing data, and communicating results to stakeholders. Great analytics intuition.
• Experience developing and prototyping analytics tools using Flask / Python and React, Angular, or similar framework would be a huge plus.
• Experience working with structured and unstructured web and mobile data, signals and telemetry would be a plus.
• Experience with Google Cloud Platform tools (such as BigQuery), ElasticSearch and MongoDB would be a plus, but are not strictly required.
• Able to work well independently in often highly ambiguous situations, and have fun doing so. A scrappy, get-it-done attitude would be a huge plus.
