Big Data Solutions is a financial technology firm building solutions on top of a high-performance time-series database with the latest stack and a bit of love.

Our customers include different types of financial institutions operating in capital markets.

Once our partners trade, they need the historical data for different asset prices and transaction cost analysis metrics. Without it, their trading-oriented departments simply wouldn’t function. That is why delivering market data to them on time is a crucial and utmost important function.

And here is where our Cloud Operations team jumps in. We are supporting the data delivery lifecycle from our vendors (New York Stock Exchange, Intercontinental Exchange, etc.) to our customers and the corresponding infrastructure behind it. Our instances are located in AWS and data centers in New York and New Jersey (we are planning to migrate to AWS completely and then to move into multi-cloud concept direction).

Our team includes 4 technical team members in Yerevan, 6 technical team members (including 4 DevOps) in Saint-Petersburg, 3 managers in Yerevan and Saint-Petersburg. We are using Jira & Confluence, processes are based on the Scrum approach.

We are looking for a Cloud Team Coordinator to join our Cloud Operations team, with the potential for a large role based on results. The goal is to organize, set up, and maintain team-related processes in a way that the customers have the best experience and internal stakeholders are happy as well.

Responsibilities

  • Make sure emails, Jira’s are responded to on a daily basis.
  • Make sure alerts are being resolved, and alert channels are working stable.
  • Working with established Kanban approach to ensure the Customer tickets and alerts are addressed.
  • Following up on chats - making sure collaboration is not stuck.
  • Make sure duties are in place and team members are available during their working hours.
  • Helping to distribute existing customer tickets in case needed.
  • Follow up with other teams on the process-related improvements.
  • Having an overall status of the current customer requests (and conducting status calls as needed).
  • Participating in Customer Success calls as needed.
  • Make sure processes related documentation is up-to-date.
  • Proposing processes improvements if it is visible those are needed.
  • Participating in building collaboration framework with the Sales and Pre-Sales teams.
  • Participation in hiring based on needs.
  • Reporting to the Head of the team (for all the team processes) and to PM lead (for PM activities).

Requirements

  • Experience with Jira and Confluence.
  • 1+ year experience with IT project management or experience in team/group coordination.
  • Excellent written and verbal English skills (oral communication with Customers might be required, so fluent spoken English is an absolute requirement).
  • Excellent organizational (there is a lot of multitasking), communication (you need to have really good contact with the team), and presentation skills.
  • Attentiveness (not to miss the important details) and “to get things done” approach is a must (no explanations on “why it is not possible” when it is actually possible).
  • Experience in coordinating the Support group is a significant plus.
  • Experience of working with customers is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Scrum, Kanban, ITIL is a plus.
