About the project

The ESS application is a market leading, event-driven application that services bank's Synthetic Equity business. At peak, 1/2 million events per day are processed, supporting trading activity carried about by the biggest Hedge Funds and Institutional clients in the business, globally. This is a business the bank is investing in with the aim to further increase client balances and trading throughput.

You will be joining a development team that focuses on agile development, automation of testing and deployment activities and aims to continuously improve it practices by evaluating and adopting the latest technologies.

Main responsibilities

• Collaborate with the distributed team on requirements and technical solutions.
• Design new components and features.
• Code and test the components.
• Cross-review changes.
• Document the design and architectural decisions.

Requirements

• Deep Java knowledge.
• Spring/SpringBoot.
• Algorithms.
• REST/SOAP services.
• Databases (SQL).
• Messaging solutions (JMS, etc.).
• English B2.
