Responsibilities

• Work on high-availability production project which processes large amounts of data (and growing).
• Write Scala or Java code using Spark API.
• A lot of investigation tasks on how to improve performance and efficiency.
• Deep dive into the internals of storage formats (PARQUET or ORC).
• Support and evolve solutions for existing clients.

Requirements

• Have Scala or Java production experience (2 years+).
• Knowledge of JVM internals.
• SQL knowledge.
• Familiarity with NoSQL databases is a plus.
• Familiarity with Spark internals is a big plus.
• English knowledge (most of written communication and docs are done in English).
• Experience with VCS (git, hg, etc).
