We are looking for a Senior DevOps Engineer in CIS with the relocation to Barcelona, Belgrad, or self-relocation to any other location for remote work.
Mercaux is an in-store B2B SaaS Platform that aims to transform offline retail and help traditional retailers smoothly transition into the digital era. Founded by Harvard Business School alumni and ex-Yandex tech team, Mercaux products are live in 40 countries including UK, Italy, Spain, US, Canada, or Thailand.
Mercaux’s Next Generation Platform comprises In-Store Experiences, Universal Baskets and Next Generation Checkout layers, to help retailers provide customers with a frictionless omnichannel shopping experience. The solutions are operated by Sales Associates using the Mercaux App via a tablet or iPhone-based device or self-served by customers using their own phones (via a web-based App) or touch screen kiosks / Digital Fitting Rooms. All the solutions are managed by a SaaS HQ Platform.
Retailers such as Nike, Stadium Goods & Springfield typically see a sales uplift in-store of 8-14% and 5x ROI, in a matter of months.

Challenges
- Extend infrastructure for presence in the USA.
- Setup scalable upgradeable zero downtime DB cluster.
- Setup isolated external facing integration environments.
- Setup highly-available payment infrastructure.
- Setup second cloud.
Expected experience in
- Building of high availability & fault-tolerant production and development infrastructure based on AWS cloud.
- AWS ECS, EKS, RDS.
- Linux (Amazon / Ubuntu) administration.
- PostgreSQL's administration.
- Managing infrastructure as a code (Terraform).
- CI/CD instruments and workflows setup and maintenance (TeamCity).
- Bash and Python scripting.
- Docker containers orchestration.
- HTTP, HTTPS, and RESTful Web Services execution in cluster.
Expected personal skills:
- Ability to manage DevOps team.
- Problem-solving: identify problems and propose solutions.
- Ownership, decomposition and evaluation of the tasks.
- Proactive behavior.
- Strategic thinking.
- Focus on infrastructure reliability.
- Good written and spoken English.
Also, nice to have experience in:
- Java, Spring, Hibernate (read and understand).
- TICK Stack administration along with Grafana, LogStash.
- MacOS (XCode build) maintenance.
- Load testing automation using such tools as JMeter.
- Familiar with security certifications, such as PCI-DSS.
