In our architecture, we use a cloud-native approach. For development, we use mostly Golang with a sprinkle of AWS managed solutions, such as Aurora PostgreSQL, SQS, S3, SNS, EC2, ECS etc.

The "Buy with Slash" button magically appears, allowing users to shop with a lowered (or "Slashed") price. Slash is based in the UK and is growing globally with partners like Booking, eBay, Udemy, AliExpress, Groupon, Microsoft, and more joining all the time.

What you will be doing in Slash

Implement product features — new payment methods, improvements in user flows, implementation on finance-focused services.
Participate in architectural decisions for scaling up. Carry out the development of infrastructure — improve the observability & maintainability of the product.
Develop internal services — administrator panel, content control system, analytical platform.
Analyze incidents and fix bugs (in collaboration with QA and Customer Support).

We are perfect fit for each other if you have

Applied knowledge of Go or experience in Backend Development in other languages.
Experience working with both classical relational databases and NoSQL solutions.
Understanding the principles of application deployment and virtualization.
An ability to dig into the root cause of bugs, solve nontrivial and non-obvious problems.
You have the superpower to find a balance between development speed and clean code.
Independence in decision-making and responsibility for the end results of your work.

A great bonus would be:

Experience deploying and supporting services on AWS.
Experience with payment systems or services.
Familiarity with PCI DSS and OWASP principles.
Experience scaling multi-regional deployments of distributed systems.
