Neon Labs is looking for a full-time Smart Contract Engineer — Rust Developer to join our team.

Neon Labs is building an EVM, one of the key products in the Solana ecosystem. Neon EVM enables dApss to harness advantages from both blockchains — Ethereum in terms of tools used, and Solana in terms of low gas fees and high throughput.

We come from diverse professional backgrounds and are looking to continuously add individuals who are passionate about blockchains and DeFi and eager to tackle challenging tasks on a daily basis. Fostering a diverse and inclusive environment is at the top of our minds.

Our international team is 100% remote.

We are working closely with the Solana core team.

Key responsibilities

Figuring out the best tech solutions to challenges.
Developing and optimizing high loaded systems.
Writing smart contracts.
Enabling integration with blockchain systems.
Implementing innovative solutions.

Requirements

5+ years of Rust development experience.
Profound knowledge of algorithms.
Profound knowledge of modern approaches to building high loaded systems in Rust.
Ability to write code efficiently.
Ability to read and understand someone else's code.
Hands-on experience in system programming for GNU / Linux.
Good experience in working with version control systems.
Understanding the fundamentals of blockchains.
Understanding the basic principles of cryptography.
Great experience with databases.
Extensible teamwork experience.

Will be a plus:

Solid experience in creating smart contracts for any of the existing blockchains.
JavaScript programming experience.
Python programming background.

The salary comes in USD to a current account in a foreign bank.
