And this is our Business Analyst for Finance and HR Departments role for those who, through their work, are willing to support our core value — people.

Semrush is hiring remote analysts who have already relocated from Russia or willing to do it immediately.

About our team

The Semrush Finance teams help the business maintain financial stability, make economically sound decisions, and collect accurate information on the Company's profits and costs.

This unit is divided into several subdivisions: accounting, financial planning, treasury, and business analytics.

The Finance team has a typical multi-level structure. This team is one of the most geographically diverse in the Company, and is represented in all our offices globally.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting, formalizing, and coordinating requirements for IT system updates for Finance and HR departments.
  • Building financial models and prototyping management reports in Excel.
  • Preparing functional design specification documents.
  • Interacting with IT developers and functional customers as a business consultant and task or project supervisor. In other words, acting as a task or project owner.
  • Interacting with external contractors on the development and acceptance of new features and their support of current functionality.
  • Testing changes and conducting user acceptance testing.
  • Consulting and teaching users.
  • Writing instructions for users and IT support.
  • Creating presentations for management and clients.

Requirements

We think that these types of experience and competencies will help our future colleague to join the team.

  • General understanding of the financial field — financial and management accounting and reporting.
  • Good understanding of HR processes.
  • Proven working experience as an analyst in a relevant field.
  • Understanding of the principles of financial data warehousing and data modeling.
  • Good understanding of ERP and BI system working principles.
  • Good understanding of IT system integration principles.
  • Proficiency in Excel.
  • English to at least a B2 level, as you will be communicating with our US colleagues.
  • Ability to solve problems autonomously.
  • Customer-oriented approach and excellent communication skills.

Will be a plus:

  • You have a good understanding of various operational, product, and CRM systems that can be a source of data for BI and ERP financial systems and financial data storage.
  • Good knowledge of SQL.
  • Basic programming skills.
