As the Vice President of Data Science, you will lead our Data Science and Engineering team that will help to provide business decisions and improve our products and user experiences through data insights, predictive models, experimentation, and analytics. The team is a critical partner, delivering insights that inform both product / market strategy and feature development roadmaps.

In this role, you will provide engineering leadership and direction that spans all data infrastructure and analysis products built by our organization. The engineering decisions you make and direction you set will generate impact, thus enabling teams to have the data and tools to make sound decisions more accurately and quickly.

Responsibilities

Provide leadership for the team, be a thought leader, and ensure Data Science will influence key product and engineering decisions. Partner with key stakeholders and business leaders to shape the future of consumer products.
Be a strategic partner for business pods, advocating for users and taking a birds-eye perspective of product strategy, enabling the Data Science and Engineering team to be on the forefront and anticipate research needs.
Set strategy and direction for Data Science and Engineering and its organizational culture and leadership.
Deliver insights to inform and influence strategic product decisions across the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launched.
Drive decisions for experiments and strategic analysis via innovative metrics and methodologies, experimental infrastructure, and automation of tooling, processes, and insights.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of experience leading Data Science, Engineering and developing / shaping products.
Organizational leadership experience, including experience collaborating with teams and executive leadership.
Experience navigating through the ambiguity of blue-sky, undefined consumer product, data collection, and analysis.
Experience building successful, customer-centric teams and operating models with business delivery.
Aptitude for driving impact at scale, and recruiting and managing high-performing technical leaders.
Commitment to building inclusive teams and team culture.
Passion for and interest in research and experimentation.
Passion for data and metrics.
