Data Science Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership for the team, be a thought leader, and ensure Data Science will influence key product and engineering decisions. Partner with key stakeholders and business leaders to shape the future of consumer products.
• Be a strategic partner for business pods, advocating for users and taking a birds-eye perspective of product strategy, enabling the Data Science and Engineering team to be on the forefront and anticipate research needs.
• Set strategy and direction for Data Science and Engineering and its organizational culture and leadership.
• Deliver insights to inform and influence strategic product decisions across the full product lifecycle, from ideation to launched.
• Drive decisions for experiments and strategic analysis via innovative metrics and methodologies, experimental infrastructure, and automation of tooling, processes, and insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years of experience leading Data Science, Engineering and developing / shaping products.
• Organizational leadership experience, including experience collaborating with teams and executive leadership.
• Experience navigating through the ambiguity of blue-sky, undefined consumer product, data collection, and analysis.
• Experience building successful, customer-centric teams and operating models with business delivery.
• Aptitude for driving impact at scale, and recruiting and managing high-performing technical leaders.
• Commitment to building inclusive teams and team culture.
• Passion for and interest in research and experimentation.
• Passion for data and metrics.
