Dzing Finance is an FCA-regulated e-money neobanking institution which was established with a goal to deliver bank-as-a-service solutions to a customer base of non-banking clients on a white label basis. At the heart of Dzing’s technology lies its own core banking system — a highly scalable and extremely sophisticated software that usually exists only with large high street banks and is rarely found in fintech institutions. This allows us to simultaneously on-board a significant number of fast, scalable white label projects.

We test new hypotheses and product offerings with the help our own neobanking app, which can be downloaded from both AppStore and Google Play.

Dzing’s business geography covers both the UK and EU with presence in London, Riga and Cyprus.

About the role

You will be working on architecting our future platform and creating an automated deployment strategy for our application and cloud-based platform infrastructure.

Part of the DevOps and application engineer teams, you will understand the product and business needs, provide expertise around application and cloud service development, as well as define and own clear guardrails, alerts, and Security as Code (SaC) deployments to provide 24/7 protection from malicious traffic, vulnerabilities and other attack vectors.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain an AWS cloud infrastructure architecture aligning security, compliance, performance and resilience.
Provide expertise and best practices for implementing end to end deployment pipelines, constantly trying to improve the process.
Define and maintain our environment strategy.
Ensure the availability, performance and readiness of dev, stage and production environments to support our release aspirations.
Build and maintain monitoring, auditing, and reporting frameworks that produce artifacts which support security and compliance needs.
Build and maintain a set of tools that enable developers to self-serve for most operational tasks.
Own and track issues on all environmental through to resolution.
Maintain and update AWS systems, including EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Security Groups, VPCs, EKS, ECS, ELB, ALB, RDS etc.
Maintain and enhance our environmental monitoring, ensuring we can provide a real-time view on availability and performance.

Requirements

3+ years’ experience working in Development Operations.
An in-depth understanding of modern software engineering / testing practice, tools and techniques.
Significant knowledge of AWS systems, including EC2, IAM, CloudWatch, CloudTrail, Security Groups, VPCs, EKS (Kubernetes), ECS, ELB, ALB, RDS etc.
Have a team spirit and establish good rapport with other colleagues.
Good communication skills in English.

Nice to have:

Solid experience in building and maintaining Highly Loaded services.
Knowledge of PCI DSS requirements and restrictions.
Programming or scripting experience with a popular modern language (Java, Python, etc.).
University degree or equivalent BA level.
