The role
- You must be an experienced Kafka / Java engineer ideally with some architecture skills in Kafka.
- You will be working on ETL processing using Kafka, Java, and ClickHouse.
- As a Data Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on Data Warehouse ETL using AirFlow and Tableau.
- If you have experience or an interest in Python, you can also be involved in writing programs for automated data collection.
- You will also be involved in improving our CI/CD.
What we are looking for
- At least 2 years of development experience.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn — we’re more interested in the right mentality than a specialism in a specific technology.
- Experience with Java 8 or above, Java Streams, distributed data processing, threading concepts.
- Experience with Python is desirable, but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience working in an Agile project environment.
- You have a good understanding of coding best practices and design patterns and experience with code and data versioning, dependency management, code quality and optimization, error handling, logging, monitoring, validation and alerting.
