Project
B-to-B travel project for an operator with customers in 40+ countries and offices in the US, Europe, Canada, and Latin America. The company is headquartered in Coral Gables, Florida, and builds and runs travel marketplaces. The tour operator is also a partner with top tier sports organizations to provide travel services for massive events, such as the FIFA World CupTM.
Responsibilities
- Deliver production-quality code with adequate automated test coverage.
- Build integrations with suppliers and distribution partners.
- Accurately estimate time to complete deliverables.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience building web and mobile responsive applications.
- Have shipped at least one travel booking or sports / events ticketing application.
- Strong understanding of relational and/or non-relational databases.
- Strong expertise with PHP, Symfony, MySQL, CSS, JavaScript, and AJAX.
- Adept at maintaining cross-browser compatibility.
- Exposure with integrating 3rd party APIs power-ups.
- Experience with a GDS.
- Experience with some of the popular travel APIs for real time hotel reservations (HBSI / IBS, SynXis, Derbysoft).
- Hotel metadata (Leonardo, Giata, Gimmonix and/or TripAdvisor).
- Real time reservations of activities (FareHarbor).
- Experience with the Ticketmaster API.
