Frontend Engineer

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, test, deploy, and refine the frontend for a web-based augmented reality authoring platform.
• Individually manage front-end development for customer-facing interface projects.
• Build a scalable WebAR publishing product.
• Iterate quickly without compromising code quality or usability.
• Execute bug fixes, and ensure exceptional code quality.
• An eye for design with experience working on responsive layout and animations.

Requirements

Minimum qualifications

• BA or BS degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, top 10% percentile.
• Expert working software proficiency in JavaScript, Three.js.
• Experience with the HTTP protocol, creating and designing REST APIs, including HTML5, CSS3 proficiency.
• Experience working with React.js, Redux, and Webpack.
• Familiarity with node.js, Elixir and Express.
• Experience with 3D graphics technologies: Web GL, OpenGL, AFrame, QuickLook.
• Experience integrating APIs for popular backend services, such as Stripe.
• Comfortable submitting daily code commits on Github, and performing code reviews.

Preferred qualifications

* 4+ years experience of professional software development (exceptions based on prior. project performance and product results) * Relevant work experience in software development (including internships). * Excellent understanding of JavaScript event loop; JSONSchema, asynchronous request handling, and DOM. * Working knowledge of WebXR, SceneViewer. * Experience with AR libraries such as Lens Studio, Unity, ARCore or ARKit a strong plus. * Experience building well-tested front-end applications, using tools like Jest and Enyzme. * Prior experience as a Webmaster a plus.
