Senior LMA Engineer

Job description

We are looking for a talented and inquisitive engineer, focused on building and maintaining a Logging, Monitoring and Alerting (LMA) sub-system that will work as a part of a standardized solution for our K8s and Openstack deployment tool for our customers. You will be working internally with our professional services team, cloud operations, and customer engineering teams to define enhancements and fixes that cover all aspects of the product’s lifecycle and get the thing done!

Responsibilities

• Improve and maintain the existing Openstack source code and set of helm-charts that allows it to run Openstack in K8s cluster.
• Troubleshooting of different issues that may occur in new versions of Openstack or/and during its integration with new versions of underlying components, e.g. MariaDB, RabbitMQ etc.
• Work with a geographically distributed team.

Requirements

• Strong knowledge of Prometheus (+exporters), Elasticsearch, Grafana, Kibana, Nagios, Fluentd and related components.
• Understanding of k8s and practical experience in writing/improving helm-charts the LMA stack consists of.
• Fluent in Python (alternatively, Golang).
• 3+ years of Linux system administration experience.
