Zenith is building open-source cloud-native PostgreSQL. Our architecture separates storage from compute, allowing to run stateless and serverless Postgres. We’re a well-funded startup with deep knowledge of Postgres internals and decades of experience building databases. Our storage layer is written in Rust and cloud control plane is written in Go.
What you’ll do here:
In this role, you would participate in building and designing a control plane that orchestrates Zenith cloud. That includes topics like:
- Interaction with k8s to manage a fleet of stateless Postgres compute nodes.
- Interaction with our storage and proxy services to provide low-latency Postgres operation.
- Managing per-tenant access via IAM and JWT tokens.
- Resource consumption calculation.
- Interaction with cloud services like S3 and EC2 API.
You have
- Several years of hands-on experience with Go.
- Modern software architecture design skills.
- Developing infrastructure and/or cloud services is a plus.
- Knowledge of database internals is a plus.
- Knowledge or willingness to learn Rust, is a plus.
