Placid Money is an ambitious fintech that changes how Americans use $1T (yes, trillion:) of credit card debt.
We are looking for a curious product manager with prior experience in consumer banking/fintech to be in charge of our core products. Placid is building a set of innovative lending products that combine familiar but complex concepts in a new way, and we're moving at high speed, expected in this highly competitive industry. We strive to most impactful and least disruptive products to consumers in the most simplistic and clear way possible.
It's a great opportunity for those who love autonomy, fast-paced environment, extended responsibility, and steep learning curves - you'll be on the early team of an ambitious fintech, working with the founder/CEO and contributing most directly to the performance of the product, as well as positively affecting lives of millions of consumers.
They are on a mission to make credit cheaper for those who need it most and help people leverage credit to become better off financially.
Their guiding principle is maximum impact, minimum disturbance — giving their customers the easiest way to create assets out of liabilities without much disruption to their financial lives.
They're a remote squad. They praise autonomy, self-motivation, and self-management. They expect everyone to truly care about what they do, take pride in how they do it, and strive for self and team improvement.
They believe they're working on some really cool things that will make a dent for society as a whole, and hope everyone who joins will find it fascinating to connect the dots between their work and the impact it has.
If you love technology and helping people — they'd love to talk. And If you like some books here basecamp.com/books, they're probably already on the same page culture-wise.
