EPAM is an international IT company that produces software from idea to final implementation. It's one of the fastest growing public tech companies in the world (Forbes, 2017).

Currently, they are looking for a remote Node.js Development Team Lead with 5+ years of relevant experience to join their global team.

The customer provides guided meditation resources online, accessible to users through the company's website and via a mobile app on the iPhone and Android platforms. Starting as a start-up the company 10 years ago they grew up to 100+ engineers and has more than 10mil of online users daily.

One of the main assignments would be ability to drive any type of architecture changes within existing customer Platform API stream which deals with replatforming of 120+ customer microservices written in Node.js (primarily), Java, Scala and Go.

Responsibilities

Ability to drive any type of architecture changes within existing customer Platform API stream which deals with replatforming of 120+ customer microservices written in Node.js (primarily), Java, Scala and Go.

Requirements

Hands-on experience in Node.js (TypeScript).
Knowledge of AWS-based technologies (S3, Containers, SNS/SQS, etc.).
English for everyday communication with customer.
Databases theoretical and practical knowledge (PostgreSQL, MangoDB and similar).
Experience working with large amount of content (audio, video).
5+years of leadership experience.

Nice to have:

Terraform/CI knowledge (at least, partial).
Experience in implementation of content services for video/audio (large scale).
