Responsibilities

We are looking for a Senior Observability Engineer to join our Infrastructure team. In this role, you will help build and evolve our observability platform, ensuring reliability, scalability, and operational excellence. Your responsibilities include:

  • Build, operate, and continuously improve the company's observability platform, ensuring high availability, scalability, and reliability.
  • Design, implement, and maintain monitoring solutions for internal infrastructure, external services, and network connectivity.
  • Develop and operate monitoring, alerting, and health checks for VPN infrastructure and critical platform services.
  • Migrate and optimize observability clusters and infrastructure to support evolving architecture and business needs.
  • Integrate new telemetry and logging data sources into the observability platform (e.g. shipping CloudTrail logs into Quickwit).
  • Maintain and enhance the observability ecosystem, including operators, exporters, proxies, MCP servers, and AI-powered tooling.
  • Improve the reliability, scalability, and disaster recovery capabilities of tracing, metrics, logging, and event processing pipelines.
  • Troubleshoot production issues, analyze system behavior, and drive continuous improvements to platform performance while operating and maintaining Kubernetes-based infrastructure.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of hands-on experience as an Observability Engineer, SRE, Platform Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or Software Engineer.
  • Experience designing, operating, and troubleshooting observability platforms for distributed systems.
  • Good knowledge of observability technologies, including metrics, logs, tracing, alerting, and monitoring (e.g. Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, Tempo, Loki, Quickwit, or similar).
  • Experience with Kubernetes and cloud-native environments, including Helm and Kubernetes deployment workflows.
  • Strong knowledge of AWS services and cloud infrastructure, including CloudTrail and cloud networking.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform preferred).
  • Good understanding of networking concepts, VPNs, proxies, and distributed systems.
  • Proficiency in Go at an intermediate level, with experience maintaining and extending internal tools and services.
  • Experience with AI-assisted developer and operations tooling (e.g. MCP servers, AI assistants, automation) is a strong plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting, automation, and problem-solving skills with a focus on reliability, scalability, and operational excellence.

Conditions

  • Annual income gross: €72.000-96.000.
  • Remote work with official employment in EU countries.
  • 1-year contract with the possibility of extension.
