About Wheely
Wheely is redefining premium transportation across major cities in Europe, the US, and the Middle East. We blend cutting-edge technology with the craft of five-star chauffeuring to deliver an experience trusted by more than 100,000 active riders and 1,200 corporate accounts.
We’re a profitable, fast-growing scale-up with $43M raised and over $100M in annual revenue. Having recently launched in New York City, we’re expanding rapidly across the US and EMEA. If you take pride in your craft and want to help shape the next chapter of our growth, we'd love to hear from you.
A small core-engineering team devoted to protecting our clients' privacy at the highest level. We build privacy-first systems that keep users' location data inaccessible, even to us, and push that bar further with features no other ride-hailing service offers. Privacy is a core principle at Wheely and a key competitive advantage as we grow across Europe and the US. We're looking for a Full-Stack Engineer to help build it.
Responsibilities
- Work on privacy-focused systems and architecture that keep users' location data inaccessible — even to us.
- Work across the stack using React, TypeScript, and Node.js or Go to deliver high-quality solutions.
- Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Designers, and Software Engineers to shape technical solutions from concept through production.
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience as a Full-Stack or Frontend Engineer with backend experience.
- Commercial experience with Node.js. Go is nice to have.
- Strong frontend development experience with TypeScript, React, React Query, Redux or alternative state management libraries (e.g. MobX).
- Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and modern browser APIs.
- Familiarity with modern frontend tooling (Vite/Webpack, ESLint, and package managers such as npm/pnpm).
- Experience with automated testing, such as end-to-end tests (Playwright, Selenium), UI/Component tests (e.g. using Jest), or snapshot tests.
- STEM (technical) degree.
Our current stack
Go microservices, shrinking Ruby monolith, Node.js, TypeScript, React, React Query, Vite, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, RabbitMQ, GRPC, Thrift, Redis, AWS, Terraform, K8s.
What We Offer
- Office-based role in Nicosia, four days a week with flexible start and finish times, plus one remote day of your choice.
- Competitive salary.
- Employee stock options plan.
- Private medical and dental insurance.
- Daily Lunch allowance.
- Latest-generation MacBook Pro and 4k display.
- Professional development stipend.
- Relocation support, including visa sponsorship and allowance.

About company Wheely
At Wheely, we're a luxury brand on the outside, but a technology company on the inside, building the world's first Luxury-as-a-Service. We believe that time is the ultimate luxury and that modern engineering and design, combined with the industry’s highest standards of service, can unlock an unparalleled experience for our customers. From on-demand chauffeuring, concierge service, to our best-in-class app, we exist to help our clients reclaim their time by connecting them to the places and people that matter.
More than 40% of our team works in product & engineering, and both Wheely founders are technical. We are also unapologetically design centric. It’s not about A/B testing one hundred shades of blue, but crafting the perfect shade. We also take a privacy-first approach and believe that where people travel, and who they travel with, is at their discretion.
We have refused government requests to hand over journey data, and are currently developing bespoke technology to put our clients’ movements beyond even our own reach.
Backed by leading global investors, Wheely is poised for the next phase of our journey. Over the next 5-10 years, we plan to offer a full portfolio of luxury services and expand into more international cities, building on our success in London, Paris, and Dubai.
