Senior Backend Developer (Full-Stack)

Who We Are Looking For

Senior Backend Developer/Full Stack Engineer who will help us build the best AI platform for dentistry automation and improved patient care.

Job Responsibilities

New features & products

• Play a direct role in designing scalable features, services, and platform architecture.
• Lead technical decisions with a strong focus on reliability, scalability, and maintainability.
• Contribute across the full stack, from backend services and APIs to frontend product experiences.
• Implement efficient communication protocols for seamless interaction among applications within our ecosystem.
• Design and build AI agent capabilities that automate complex workflows and improve clinical and operational productivity.

Maintenance

• Own the development of the backend platform, collaborating closely with the product and AI teams.
• Support integration APIs for dental and third-party services, ensuring reliability and performance.

Refactoring

• Address technical debt and optimize existing microservices as the platform evolves, improving scalability, maintainability, and efficiency.

Required Skills

• Proficient in Python with experience building scalable applications.
• Proven experience designing, building, and operating microservice-based systems in production.
• Strong hands-on experience with GCP and cloud architecture design is a must.
• Full-stack development experience, including backend APIs, frontend implementation, and product-oriented engineering decisions.
• Experience building or integrating AI agents, LLM-powered workflows, or automation systems.
• Experience with concurrent/asynchronous programming and frameworks.
• Expert with troubleshooting, profiling, performance tuning, and optimizing cloud resources.
• Familiarity with Python web frameworks (Django/FastAPI/Flask) for microservices.
• Strong SQL skills and experience optimizing database performance.
• B2+ English proficiency.

Bonus Knowledge

• Experience with Terraform or other IaC tools.
• Experience implementing a central authentication system utilized by multiple services.
• Expertise in setting up cross-app communications.
• Familiarity with analytics and observability tools (Mixpanel/Google Analytics/Datadog/Sentry).
