A fast-growing, Barcelona-headquartered HR & workflow SaaS platform — 16,000+ companies, $2B+ valuation — is building a small, high-agency product incubation team reporting directly to the VP of Engineering.

We're looking for a founding engineer / product maker: someone who can take an idea from zero to production alone — backend, frontend, product, a bit of go-to-market — and ships without waiting for permission.

First mission

an AI-powered internal comms product replacing ad hoc WhatsApp usage across companies, with an AI layer handling routine employee/manager questions. Once it's live, you move to the next 0→1 bet.

Who we're looking for

• Staff+, hands-on engineer who still codes — not a manager who's stopped.
• T-shaped across backend, frontend, product, and design.
• High agency; founder/ex-founder or founding engineer/CTO of an early-stage startup (even a failed one), or came up through hyper-growth.
• Stack-agnostic (today: Ruby on Rails + modern JS).
• AI/production LLM experience is a strong plus, not required.
• Visible public footprint: GitHub, open source, Product Hunt, technical writing.

Compensation & logistics

• €94,000–143,000+ base, banded by level.
• Equity ~2x annual salary, vested over 4 years.
• Barcelona, 4 days/week in-office by default; remote start possible ahead of relocation.
• Relocation supported from anywhere, incl. visa sponsorship + one-time stipend.
• English required; Spanish not needed.

Process

No live coding. You'll work through a real product scenario, ask questions, define the problem, and use any AI coding agent you like to build a prototype. We're evaluating how you think and work, not a polished deliverable.
