Lead DevOps Engineer

We’re looking for a Lead DevOps Engineer to drive infrastructure strategy, unify processes, and align systems with business needs. You’ll set standards, prioritize high-impact work, and partner closely with stakeholders to build scalable, low-latency, production-grade infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve connectivity between remote trading venues, including VPN, Direct Connect, high availability, and failover.
• Operate and evolve primarily bare-metal Kubernetes clusters, including GitOps, RBAC, and observability.
• Build and maintain infrastructure automation, configuration management, and access provisioning.
• Optimize Linux and BIOS for ultra-low latency and run benchmarks during upgrades.
• Evaluate, procure, and commission server hardware.
• Ensure infrastructure security, hardening, and production-grade observability.

Qualifications

• Strong networking fundamentals, including TCP/IP, routing, and VPN.
• Hands-on Kubernetes experience in production environments.
• Solid Linux administration and performance tuning skills.
• Experience with Docker, CI/CD, GitOps, and configuration management tools such as Ansible.
• Experience building infrastructure automation.

Optional Skills:

• Bare-metal server and hardware architecture knowledge.
• Linux low-latency tuning, including CPU pinning, NUMA, and hugepages.
• Terraform or Crossplane.
• Prometheus and Grafana.
• Python or Go.
