Malware Intelligence Analyst (PHP)

We are seeking a Malware Intelligence Analyst (PHP) to analyze diverse malware threats targeting web hosting servers and contribute to product enhancements that proactively protect clients from future infections.

This is a fully remote position with flexible working hours, enabling you to organize your schedule and work from any location worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze and investigate malware targeting web hosting environments.
• Contribute to product improvements aimed at preventing future security incidents.
• Perform web-based malware reverse engineering (including JS and PHP deobfuscation).
• Support detection, mitigation, and prevention of web-based attacks.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you should have:

• Advanced knowledge of regular expressions (PCRE), including.

  • Understanding the difference between \A and ^.
  • Proper use of non-capturing groups.
  • Awareness of common pitfalls (e.g., starting patterns with \w when searching file fragments).

• 3+ years of experience with PHP and JavaScript.

• 2+ years of hands-on experience with WordPress (CMS).
• Experience cleaning compromised websites (strong advantage).
• Practical knowledge of web attacks (application-level and browser-based) and mitigation techniques.
• Solid understanding of web server software and hosting architecture.
• Experience with web malware reverse engineering.
• English proficiency at Upper-Intermediate level or higher.
