About The Team & The Role

Our team is building a cutting-edge blockchain product, powered by Go backend services and a React frontend. As we scale, with our development team recently growing to 6 members, we are now looking to strengthen our quality foundation with a second engineer.

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Senior or Middle QA Engineer to elevate our quality assurance processes. You will be a key player in our engineering team, ensuring the delivery of robust, high-quality software. You'll go beyond manual testing to design automated frameworks, advocate for best practices and build reliable processes. This is a role for someone passionate about breaking things to make them better.

Key Responsibilities

• Quality Advocate: promote a "shift-left" quality mindset within the team. Collaborate closely with the team to identify risks early. Participate in the entire SDLC — from requirement analysis and design reviews to post-release validation.
• Verification: design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases for complex features and systems. Automate whatever is possible, but don’t hesitate to do it manually.
• Build & Scale Test Automation: build, maintain and scale robust automated test frameworks for frontend and backend. We have API autotests written in Go and UI autotests written in Typescript (Playwright).
• Drive Defect Resolution: log, track, and prioritize defects clearly. Drive issues to resolution with the development team.
• Optimize CI/CD: ensure our automated tests are a reliable, integral part of our GitLab CI pipeline.

Requirements

Must-have

• 5+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance.
• 2+ years of hands-on test automation development experience in any language.
• SQL (be able to write query for fetching data).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in developing/testing blockchain.
• Experience with TypeScript or Go.
• Experience with our specific toolchain: Playwright, Allure TestOps, GitLab CI, WireMock.
• Hands-on experience with performance and/or security testing.
