Why this role matters
As an Infrastructure Security Engineer within the Security Division, you will architect and
maintain a fortified operating environment that protects our employees, customers, and core
platform. You will serve as a proactive guardian of our infrastructure, utilizing DevSecOps
methodologies and automation to detect vulnerabilities, manage complex security incidents, and
ensure seamless regulatory compliance across our on-premise, cloud and containerized
systems.
The role is based in our office in Limassol, Cyprus. In case of relocation, we offer full relocation
support for you and your family to make your move smooth and worry-free.
What you will actually do
- Design and review security architectures for complex infrastructure environments (cloud, virtualized, or network), ensuring strict service isolation, high availability, and defense-in-depth principles.
- Implement and optimize network security controls, including firewalls, micro-segmentation, and secure gateways, to protect traffic flow between critical business services and external perimeters.
- Orchestrate robust access control models (RBAC, Least Privilege) and manage secure connectivity solutions (VPN, Zero Trust) to ensure authorized access for employees and systems.
- Drive the "Security as Code" initiative by developing custom automation tools (e.g., in Python or Go) and managing security configurations via Infrastructure as Code to reduce manual toil and ensure consistency.
- Enforce industry security benchmarks (e.g., CIS) and hardening standards across operating systems and infrastructure components to proactively mitigate risks and reduce the attack surface.
- Lead technical investigations for security incidents within the infrastructure, performing root cause analysis, forensics, and implementing remediation steps to prevent recurrence.
- Develop security policies and procedures aligned with industry best practices and participate in internal/external audits to ensure the infrastructure meets regulatory requirements.
- Partner with IT, DevOps, and Engineering teams to integrate security best practices into the infrastructure lifecycle and foster a security-conscious culture.
Who we are looking for
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related technical field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Information Security, Network Engineering, or an IT Infrastructure role.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, operating systems (Linux/Windows), and virtualization/containerization technologies.
- Hands-on experience with firewalls, VPNs, PKI/Cryptography management, and secret management systems.
- Knowledge of security principles for private or public cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, virtualization clusters).
- Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Go, or Bash) and experience with Infrastructure as Code tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible).
- Expert knowledge level in virtualisation based on OpenStack.
- Understanding of security aspects of virtualization, containerization.
- Ability to explain complex security risks to non-technical stakeholders and convince teams to adopt security best practices.
- Ability to identify root causes of complex security issues and drive pragmatic technical solutions.
- Readiness to work in a fast-paced fintech environment and learn new technologies rapidly.
