We are looking for a Frontend Tech Lead (React) to join our growing fintech product development team in Limassol, Cyprus. In this role, you will lead the frontend engineering efforts on a payment integration platform, working closely with backend, DevOps, product, and design teams to deliver a scalable and high-performance financial solution. This is a hands-on leadership role that blends technical excellence, architectural vision, and team development.
Responsibilities
- Own the frontend architecture and technical vision of the platform’s React-based interface.
- Lead and mentor a team of frontend engineers, supporting career growth, development plans, and performance feedback.
- Design, develop, and optimize user-facing components with a strong focus on responsiveness, speed, and usability.
- Define and enforce code quality standards, review practices, and testing guidelines.
- Ensure smooth integration with backend APIs (REST/GraphQL), collaborating closely with the backend and DevOps teams.
- Translate complex business and product requirements into scalable technical solutions.
- Lead technical discussions, identify risks, and ensure alignment with business goals and timelines.
- Maintain documentation on frontend architecture, reusable components, coding conventions, and deployment workflows.
- Contribute to cross-team technical alignment and decision-making processes.
- Actively participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Champion best practices in frontend security, performance, and accessibility.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in frontend development.
- 5+ years of production experience with React and its ecosystem (Redux, Context, React Router, SSR, Hooks).
- 2+ years of experience in a technical lead or team lead position.
- Deep understanding of modern JavaScript (ES6+) and TypeScript.
- Strong experience with component architecture, reusable UI patterns, and state management.
- Solid experience consuming and integrating RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Experience setting up and maintaining frontend tooling (Vite, Webpack, ESLint, Prettier, CI/CD pipelines).
- Proficiency with testing tools and frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress, etc.).
- Experience working with agile development teams in fast-paced environments.
- Excellent communication, mentoring, and organizational skills.
- Advanced level of English.
Would be a plus
- Experience with Node.js or fullstack JavaScript development.
- Familiarity with financial platforms, fintech security standards, or payment workflows.
- Exposure to tools like Docker, RabbitMQ, Redis, or MySQL.
- Experience in designing systems or component libraries.
- Passion for great UX and product-thinking.

Important: this is an on-site position based in Limassol, Cyprus. Remote or hybrid work is not available. Candidates must either already be in Limassol or be willing to relocate. Full relocation support will be provided if necessary.
