Responsibilities

• Solve complex performance problems and architectural challenges.
• Build the Paxful application platform.
• Develop various core functionalities.
• Sustain and improve Paxful’s coding standards.
• Write efficient, testable, and reusable code.
• Work closely with product engineers to help them build new features effectively.
• Help troubleshoot, test, and maintain the product.
• Perform thorough code reviews and mentor your peers.
• Cover your code with tests.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of development experience with a strong focus on PHP and OOP.
• Good knowledge of relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).
• Strong ability to write reusable code.
• Experience building libraries and core/platform features.
• Experience with frameworks like Symfony, Laravel, Yii.
• Experience with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, etc.
• Deep understanding of SOLID principles.
• Experience working on systems with complex architectures.
• Experience working on high-load systems.
• Good understanding of security threats and “security by design” principles.
• Teamwork and good communication skills in English.
