We are looking for a qualified Data Engineer / Python Automation Engineer to join our team. Your main responsibilities will include extracting, transforming, and loading data, automating workflows, building data pipelines, and preparing data for BI analytics. You should have strong proficiency in Python and SQL, as well as experience with automation tools such as Apache Airflow.
Key responsibilities
- Development and maintenance of Python packages and CLI utilities for automation (configuration generation, integrations with S3 and databases, pipeline preparation).
- Preparation and maintenance of pipelines in Airflow for process automation and ETL.
- Integration with MinIO/AWS S3: data upload and download, error handling, versioning.
- Automation of work with ClickHouse and PostgreSQL (data export, loading into S3, migrations).
- Organization and maintenance of repositories in GitLab, setting up CI/CD for testing and package publishing.
- Maintaining technical documentation (README, Confluence/Wiki, API docs, user guides).
- Containerization (Docker) for running scripts and pipelines.
What we expect
- Strong knowledge of Python 3.10.
- Experience in designing and developing packages.
- Knowledge of Jinja2 (custom filters, macros).
- Experience working with XML.
- Click/typer for CLI development.
- Boto3 for working with S3.
- SQLAlchemy/psycopg2/asyncpg for PostgreSQL.
- Experience working with the Parquet format (pandas/PyArrow/polars).
- Knowledge of SQL, experience with ClickHouse and PostgreSQL.
- Experience writing DAGs for Airflow (or another task orchestrator).
- Ability to work with GitLab (MR flow, CI/CD, publishing packages to the Package Registry).
- Code quality practices: pytest, mypy, Ruff/Flake8, black, pre-commit.
- Hands-on experience with Docker.
