Founding Android Engineer (React Native)

Squads Labs are looking for an Android Engineer (React Native) to shape the future of crypto through Fuse — a next-generation wallet experience.

This is a foundational role. We’ve already launched Fuse on iOS using React Native. Now we’re looking for an Android Engineer to bring the same seamless, secure experience to Android users. You’ll help define our mobile architecture, contribute to product direction, and play a critical part in shaping the first crypto experience for thousands of users.

Founded in 2021, we started with release of Squads Protocol, the autonomous finance layer built on Solana. Secured by Solana’s permissionless ledger, Squads Protocol enables programmable payments, 24/7 USD liquidity, competitive yields and security enforced by deterministic code, not corporate promises. We build on Squads Protocol to bring this stack to every developer, business, and individual.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience building mobile applications using React Native.
• Strong understanding of mobile UI development, animations, performance optimization, and architecture.
• Experience building maintainable and testable codebases, including API design and unit testing.
• Knowledge of multithreading, asynchronous programming, and memory management on mobile.
• Experience interfacing with backend services (e.g., REST APIs, GCP).
• Interest in crypto and Web3, with a desire to build meaningful consumer products

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Kotlin or Java and the Android SDK.
• Experience shipping a mobile app from concept to production in a small or solo team.
• Familiarity with Solana ecosystem, Next.js, Rust.
• Exposure to offensive security, threat modeling, or penetration testing.
