DevOps Engineer

As a Virtualization DevOps Engineer, your job is to manage, support, and develop a company’s virtualization platform.

We are looking for a seasoned engineer who has experience with public and private clouds (OpenStack-based, Kubevirt-based), Kubernetes management, software-defined networks, and storage.

You will

• Scope of technical work planning.
• Technical requirements review and update.
• Conducting PoC of new developing solutions.
• Representing results matching requirements with a strong technical, systematic approach.
• Developing deployment procedures, scripts, playbook, and HCL.
• Deploying virtualization environments / private clouds within automation.
• Supporting existing and new virtualization platform deployments.
• Developing deployment automation on top of virtualization platforms / private clouds.
• Maintaining observability for virtualization platforms.
• Ensuring the availability and reliability of platforms.
• Communicating with Platform Engineering and SRE teams.
• Updating software with security patches.
• Testing and rolling out software upgrades.

What makes you a great fit

• Strong engineering education (Bachelor's / Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent).
• Good IP-based network understanding with experience in SDN (software-defined networks).
• Strong Linux mastering skills (namespaces, cgroup, qemu/kvm).
• Proficient in Containerization and Orchestration systems (Kubernetes, Docker Swarm, OpenShift).
• Advanced understanding of virtualization on qemu/kvm.
• Experience with OpenStack is welcome.
• Strong Infrastructure-as-Code approach, Gitops practices.
• Well scripting skills in Terraform and Helm Charts.
• Automation development in Python or Golang.
• Experience with Observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, ELK).
• Team player skills.
• Good communication skills.
• Spoken and written English — Upper-Intermediate level or above.

The starting salary mentioned is an indicative starting number, and the final amount will depend on the personal tax specifics and level of seniority determined during the interview process. This is the base salary only, and the total compensation will also include the performance-based bonus and benefits/allowances.
