Data Architect

The Data Architect within our Technology team will lead the development of our data and analytics platform. They will design the approach and processes for managing data to support traders and quants working across various asset classes and markets.

Key Responsibilities

• Contribute to the development and implementation of data architecture strategies to support the organization’s goals and objectives. Design and oversee and test the implementation of data models and data integration to ensure accuracy, consistency, lineage and accessibility.
• Work closely with quantitative analysts, developers, and other stakeholders to understand data requirements and provide effective solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize data requirements ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Integrate data from various internal and external sources, ensuring consistency, accuracy, and accessibility across the organization.
• Ensure data integrity, security, and compliance with industry regulations, implementing robust data governance policies.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive documentation of data models, schemas, and architecture designs.

Qualifications

• Preferred experience in building ETL pipelines, including S3/GCS.
• Experience in collecting both raw and normalized Market Data (L1/L2/L3).
• Understanding of multicast traffic collection.
• Experience in building distributed storage is desirable.
• Proven experience as a Data Architect, preferably within the trading or financial services industry.
• Strong proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Rust, or C++ and experience with database management systems.
• Familiarity with data warehousing solutions, big data technologies, and cloud-based data platforms.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a focus on performance tuning and optimization.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with experience working in cross-functional teams.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with high-frequency trading systems and real-time data processing.
• Knowledge of financial data feeds, market data, and reference data management.
