Endless Lifecycle Support (ELS) enables organizations to continue securely using Linux distributions and software languages that have reached the end of life or no longer receive standard security support — delivering vulnerability patches for unsupported versions of CentOS, CentOS Stream, Ubuntu, Debian, Oracle Linux, PHP, Python, and Spring software development framework.
We are seeking a C Developer to join our Endless Lifecycle team. In this role, you will backport security fixes to company-maintained stable versions of these projects. You will also have the opportunity to work with and contribute to major open-source projects such as Apache HTTPD, OpenSSL, and MySQL.
1) How many years of experience do you have working with C?
2) Have you worked with different build systems such as autotools, make, and cmake?
3) Have you worked within git-based development processes?
4) Do you have experience with scripting languages like Python, Perl, Bash, Shell or any others?
5) Please share your experience with GNU/Linux operating system (for example, any tasks or projects you've worked on that involved Linux, the types of commands and tools you are familiar with, how comfortable you are troubleshooting issues in a Linux environment, etc.).
6) Have you built RPM or DEB packages?
7) Have you worked with Linux debuggers such as gdb, ftrace, probes, bpf, etc.? Please specify which ones you have used and in what context.
8) Do you have experience developing Linux kernel drivers, including network drivers, block device drivers, or file systems? Please provide more details about the types of drivers you've worked on.
9) Do you have experience in identifying and fixing security vulnerabilities?
10) Do you have an upper-intermediate level of English or higher?
