Senior DevOps Engineer

Responsibilities

As a part of Infrastructure team, you are responsible for effective tracking and timely resolution of tasks such as

• User management: onboarding/offboarding procedures and access management.
• Server management: installing new and keeping track of existing production hosts on bare metal, public and private cloud.
• Managing DNS records, domain purchases, transfers, or discontinuations.
• Security tasks: firewall configuration and regular OS updates.
• Monitoring and incident resolution: responding to incidents and ensuring minimal disruption to services.
• Creating new services and integrating them in current infrastructure in alignment with the specifications provided by the development teams.
• Development and implementation of CI/CD pipelines to automate routine administration tasks.
• Writing and maintaining documentation for services, tasks, and procedures.

Requirements

• Solid foundation in Linux systems and networking.
• You are eager to expand your knowledge of new technologies.
• Ability to independently learn about problems and troubleshoot them, eventually coming up with a solution.
• You are committed to helping people in resolving their issues.
• You are passionate about topics like infrastructure, DevOps, and system administration.
• In-depth understanding of RHEL operating systems and its derivatives, including CentOS and AlmaLinux.
• Comprehensive knowledge of network fundamentals.
• Experience with various compute environments, such as bare-metal servers, virtual machines, and containers.
• Good knowledge on how to monitor infrastructure components and services.
• Familiarity with Ansible and other configuration management tools.
• Proficiency in both spoken and written English, with the ability to produce clear and concise documentation.
• Eagerness to learn new concepts quickly for independent troubleshooting and issue resolution.
• Experience with at least one commercial cloud provider, such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Familiarity with at least one common scripting language, such as Bash or Python.
• Experience with CI/CD tools like Gitlab or Jenkins.
• Familiarity with the Git version control system.
