Senior Data Scientist (MatchMaking)

Responsibilities

• Research, improve and evaluate algorithms for distributing orders to drivers and ranking orders algorithms.
• Maximize marketplace efficiency in the context of free auction mechanics.
• Generate and test hypotheses to search for growth points in current algorithms, explain the results of improvements to business stakeholders.
• Conducting A/B and switchback tests —‍ participation in the development of conditions for conducting and interpreting the results.
• Preparing and bringing machine learning models and algorithms into production.
• Maintaining existing ML-models.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data analytics or data science.
• Strong mathematical background with an emphasis on mathematical statistics, discrete optimization theory, and causal inference.
• Strong skills in tabular ML, reco- and search algorithms.
• Preferable, experience working with economic elasticity models and auction mechanics.
• Analytical mindset: structured and critical thinking, the ability to find a balance between the resources spent and the effect on the business.
• Proficiency in SQL: ability to work with large amounts of data, write and optimize complex queries.
• Proficiency in Python and everything around it —‍ databases, queues, and development processes.
• Russian fluency and English proficiency.
