Responsibilities

• Work directly with the Trading and Infrastructure units to drive pricing and trading solutions development and improvement (cross-functional team size is ~4-6 people).
• Act as a single point of contact for general IT questions or assistance.
• Intelligently automate while maintaining firm human control.
• Designs and implements infrastructure and solution architecture for services working with exchanges and providers (like pricing models, ticks proxies, aggregators).
• The work implies a “lab” atmosphere at large extent: relatively short cycles or multiple PoCs of different product options, then - pilot run for successful ones, then - move to production for successful pilots. First (PoC) cycles mainly based on manual work, going towards production degree of automation would increase.
• Design and maintain CI/CD for the solutions developed.
• When design phase is completed and solution goes to production, ensuring its smooth transition to operations, providing documentation and tools for management and monitoring.
• Provide automation tools, which would simplify work of developers.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in IT solution design and operations (that could be solution architecture, DevOps, automation engineer).
• Ability to quickly analyse a problem having limited data. Make hypotheses and test them.
• Hands-on experience with any of AWS solutions.
• High-level knowledge about a broad range of platforms and technologies to be able to quickly select one needed for a specific task and further elaborate and test it (for example: databases, queues, storages, networks, logging, PaaS services: AWS Lambda, Athena, etc.).
• Data analysis and data processing experience.
• Hands-on experience with service monitoring.
• Administration of Linux and Windows systems.
• Any scripting languages (Powershell, Bash, Python, etc.) and/or programming basics.
• Containerization (Docker) and orchestration (K8S or Nomad).
• English language (Intermediate or higher).

It would be a plus:

• AWS Solution Architect/AWS SysOps certification.
• Any other industry certification.
• Latency optimized hardware (networks, servers, memory, storage). Like Exegy XERO, Myricom, etc.
• Hands-on experience in design and operations of L2-3 networks based on Cisco or any other major vendors.
• High load.
• Familiarity with FIX protocol.
• Security foundations.
