Responsibilities

• Responsibilities include designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance.
• Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle.
• Write well designed, testable, efficient code.
• Ensure designs are in compliance with specifications.
• Prepare and produce releases of software components.
• Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review.

Requirements

• BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject.
• 5+ years of industry experience.
• Profound insight of Java and JEE internals (Class loading, Memory Management, Transaction management etc, concurrent request handling).
• Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases, SQL and ORM technologies (JPA2, Hibernate).
• Knowledge of messaging standards like AMQP and JMS.
• Experience in the Spring/Vert.x Framework.
• Experience with test-driven development.
• Contributions to open source projects is a plus.
