Your outcomes

• Plan and implement architecture modification and refactoring of existing legacy application code to ensure smooth system operation and rapid development.
• Develop a strategy to reduce technical debt.
• Work with Team Leads to develop and align an engineering culture on the project.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement architecture modification and refactoring of existing legacy application code to ensure smooth system operation and rapid development.
• Prepare development strategies and a product roadmap with the main stakeholders (Product Owner and System Architect) while being accountable for its timely delivery.
• Work closely with the system architect to drive engineering culture for developing quality software that is used by linguists, agencies, and global brands around the world.
• Provide training, guidance, and mentorship to team leads and team members.
• Continuously improve code quality and eliminate legacy code.
• Сollaborate with other team leads and departments.

Requirements

• Experience in building and operating high-load applications in a load-balancing environment with concurrent access to shared resources.
• Understanding and conscious application of OOP principles and design patterns, solid understanding of C# (or other modern OO-languages) and its features.
• Has successfully created at least one large application using DDD. Their ideal candidate also has experience of implementing DDD in an existing heavy-load project.
• Has a good understanding of horizontal scaling using Docker and k8s, and is well-versed in building cloud-native applications.
• Has extensive experience working with database management systems including scaling, data scheme design, query optimization.
• Is a team player able to communicate his or her opinion in a logical and substantiated manner and is open to new ideas.
• Willingness to learn and gain experience working with the product and people.
• Growth-oriented mindset.
• Written and spoken English will be a huge plus.
• Integrity, full commitment, and a strong sense of ownership.
• Readiness to work in a highly intense startup environment, requiring extreme focus, a sense of urgency, and persistence to break through.
