Head of Deployment and Release Management Department

Main responsibilities

• Strategy development: develop comprehensive deployment strategies to enhance software release processes.
• Release management: create and oversee release management flows, aligning them with company objectives.
• Cross-functional collaboration: work closely with development, operations, and product teams to manage and coordinate releases.
• Risk management: identify and mitigate risks associated with deployment and release activities.
• Process improvement: implement best practices, including automation, and conduct post-release reviews for continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• At least three years of experience in software development, deployment, and release management.
• Proven track record of managing complex software releases and deployments.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD principles, DevOps practices, and automation tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and leadership skills.
• Ability to work cross-functionally with various teams and stakeholders.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Technical skills:

• Deployment and Release Management: In-depth knowledge of deployment strategies, release management processes, and CI/CD principles.
• Software Development: Experience in software development with an understanding of coding practices and methodologies.
• Tools and Technologies: Proficiency in automation tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and scripting languages (Python, Bash).

• Leadership: Strong leadership abilities to guide and develop a high-performing team.
• Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective team collaboration and stakeholder management.
