Head of Development

Responsibilities

Team Leadership and Management (day to day):

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of engineers, QA, DevOps, ensuring their professional growth and performance.
• Foster a collaborative and innovative work culture that encourages creativity and excellence.

Project Management:

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of development projects, ensuring they are completed on time and within budget.
• Allocate resources and set priorities to meet project goals.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

• Collaborate with other departments, such as trading, and infrastructure, to ensure seamless project execution and alignment with business objectives.

Route Optimization:

• Design and manage delivery routes to optimize efficiency, reduce delivery costs, and ensure on-time deliveries.
• Implement technology solutions, such as route planning software, to streamline delivery processes.

Requirements

• Extensive leadership experience in software development or engineering roles for more than six years, with a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex projects.
• Managing teams with more than 50 members.
• Strong technical background and familiarity with modern software development practices and technologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to align development efforts with the company's goals.
• Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) are a plus.
• Fluent English (verbal and written).
