Responsibilities
- Administration of Linux servers (virtual/physical).
- Administration of internal services (GitLab, AirFlow, Superset, Kafka, Redis).
- Database Administration (ClickHouse, Postgres).
- Design and implement efficient, scalable data ingestion pipelines from diverse sources using Python, with an option to use Golang, Rust, or Scala.
- Develop, construct, test and maintain architectures, such as databases and large-scale data processing systems.
- Ensure data accuracy and integrity through high-quality coding and testing procedures.
- Collaborate with quantitative analysts to understand and implement database requirements.
- Design and implement data tools for analytics and data scientist team members to assist them in building and optimizing our product.
- Work with data and analytics experts to strive for greater functionality in our data systems.
- Continuously evaluate new technologies to improve and extend the platform capabilities.
- Setting up and monitoring backups.
Expectations
- BS/MS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related subject.
- Prior experience as a DevOps or in a similar position.
- Solid experience in Linux administration, writing Bash scripts.
- Experience with big data tools: Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, etc.
- Knowledge of DB administration (PostgreSQL, ClickHouse), SQL.
- Strong proficiency with Python; experience with Golang, Rust, or Scala as a plus.
- Experience with Docker, Docker Compose, Kubernetes, cloud providers.
- Understanding of CI/CD principles and release management.
- Ability to work under pressure and to tight deadlines.
