Linux Systems Engineer

You will

• Design, deploy, and manage S3 object storage systems across different environments.
• Ensure high availability and optimum performance of S3 object storage systems.
• Implement best practices for data backup, recovery, and security within S3 object storage systems.
• Automate repetitive tasks and configurations related to S3 object storage systems using Ansible.
• Develop, test, and maintain Ansible playbooks and roles.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate automation solutions across the infrastructure.
• Provide assistance in day-to-day PostgreSQL operational tasks.
• Collaborate with DBAs to ensure efficient backups, recovery, and other routine tasks.

What we expect from you

• A minimum of 3 years of Linux administration experience, preferably RHEL-based.
• An excellent understanding of S3 MinIO object storage, including design, implementation, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
• Solid knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity, and SQL, with a focus on PostgreSQL.
• Experience with Ansible automation.
• Good proficiency in Python.
• At least 3 years of experience in the development/administration of IT systems.
• Knowledge of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options.
• A clear understanding of capacity planning and architecture design for both database servers and object storage deployments.
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Russian language will be considered as an advantage.
• Experience with cloud services such as AWS and Google Cloud will be considered as an advantage.
• Experience with analytical databases like Vertica will be considered as an advantage.
• Familiarity with databases and platforms like Clickhouse, MongoDB, and InfluxDB will be considered as an advantage.
• Experience with Golang will be considered as an advantage.
