We are searching for an experienced manual QA Engineer to join our fast-growing and friendly HomeBuddy team.

The role is permanent, full-time (flexible working hours), and fully remote.

Unfortunately, we have a hiring freeze in Russia, Belarus and Ukraine, but we will be happy to hire people who have already relocated from Russia/Belarus/Ukraine.

Responsibilities

Your work will be focused on tasks related to front-end and layout of pages.
Independent execution of functional, regression, integration, and other types of testing is necessary to ensure the quality of the project.
Participating in preparing test artifacts: test cases, checklists, test scripts, test plans, testing reports, and bug reports.
Collaboration with colleagues from adjacent departments.
Focus on operational excellence, constructively identifying problems and proposing solutions, taking on projects that improve your team’s software, making it better and easier to maintain.

About you

2+ years of experience in web services and/or mobile applications testing.
You are not afraid of a pixel-perfect approach.
Experience in UX/UI.
Experience in HTML + CSS testing.
Knowledge of basic terms, concepts, and types of testing.
Understanding of the software development process, the role of testing.
Understanding REST API.
Basic knowledge of SQL.
Excellent knowledge of the software development lifecycle.
Excellent understanding of theory (fundamentals, methods, and types of testing) and the ability to apply them in practice.
Experience working in an Agile environment (understand the difference between scrum/kanban).
Strong ability to use development tools in a browser.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Love working in a collaborative environment with a strong focus on teamwork, innovation, and open-mindedness.
Experience in creating Test Cases and Bug Reports.
A good level of English, at least Upper-Intermediate+ (B2+) is a must.
Fluent Russian is a must.

Nice to have:

Experience in creating Test Reports, Test Plans, and Acceptance Sheets.
Experience in writing autotests for REST API.
