Engineering Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and direction to a team of engineers, ensuring effective collaboration and coordination across various functions and disciplines.
• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of engineering projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within scope, and within budget.
• Develop and implement engineering processes, procedures, and best practices to optimize efficiency, quality, and performance.
• Manage resource allocation, including hiring, training, mentoring, and performance evaluation of engineering personnel.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Product, Design, and Customer Support, to ensure seamless integration and alignment of engineering initiatives with overall company goals and objectives.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with stakeholders to provide updates on project progress, risks, and issues.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate engineering operations, implementing improvements and enhancements to drive efficiency and effectiveness.

Requirements

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in software engineering or a related field, with at least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Demonstrated success in leading and managing engineering teams, including experience in project management, resource allocation, and performance evaluation.
• Strong technical knowledge and expertise in software development, quality assurance, and engineering best practices.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and inspire a diverse team.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to navigate complex challenges and drive results.
• Fluent in English and Russian.
• Experience with the E-Learning or EdTech industry is a plus.
