Responsibilities

• Coordination of work of the globally distributed development team.
• Line management, coaching, development of the local team.
• Planning and controlling the development, re-engineering, support.
• Arrange code reviews, ensure code, design quality.
• Arrange automated tests development.
• Tasks progress and time reporting.
• Release instructions and production rollout review and support.
• Code, functionality documentation.

Requirements

• Good communication skills, upper-intermediate or advanced English.
• Minimum 8 years experience of professional development in Java in Financial or Capital Markets Sector.
• 3+ years of team leading experience (in Financial or Capital Markets Sector - plus).
• Understanding of programming patterns in Financial or Capital Markets Sector.
• Experience in working with high frequency or low latency data processing systems.
• Experience with high volume data processing systems.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Understanding algorithm complexity.
• Plus: Hands-on experience with messaging platforms (Solace, MQ).
• Plus: Hands-on experience with Unix or Linux.
• Plus: Understanding Equity trading workflows.
• Plus: Agile or XP development experience including test-driven development.
