Join our Sinch SMB team as a Lead Software Engineer in Madrid, Spain.
Role
In the role of Lead Software Engineer, you will lead a self-sufficient team consisting of all roles required to turn business ideas into technical solutions:
- Work in a distributed teams environment, lead agile ceremonies.
- Plan roadmap in a close collaboration with a product owner, designer, and engineers.
- Work together with architects, infrastructure specialists and engineers from other teams to plan and implement robust and scalable technical solutions.
- Participate in the full development lifecycle including implementation, code reviews & supporting production. Be responsible for team’s delivery.
- Maintain and improve development methodologies and best practices in the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Java or other JVM language development experience.
- 1+ year as a Team Lead.
- Extensive experience using REST-based HTTP APIs.
- Strong knowledge and experience working with both NoSQL & RDBMS.
- English / Russian speaker.
Big plus:
- Experience working with any of the following: Shell Script, Python, GitLab CI/CD Pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes, modern cloud development in AWS.
