EyeQ is a dynamic, small, and growing profitable technology company based in Calgary, AB Canada. A leader in remote-first, our diverse team of 20 is located around the world. We’re recognized as a world leader in the digital imaging industry, where we license our automatic photo correction technology to businesses around the world. We license enterprise-level software / SDK packages that bring cost savings, time efficiencies, and increased revenue streams to our customers.
EyeQ uses web-based tech for several purposes:
- The WebAPI front-end signup / admin site (perfectlyclear.io).
- The WebAPI back-end (AWS / Lambda system running Node.js application, along with related usage collection and billing system).
- Sample code and demonstration applications built around our Web Assembly and WebAPI implementations of our image correction SDK.
We’re looking for someone who can help maintain and develop new features in all these areas, and expand our web-based products and services.
Responsibilities
- Own all technical aspects of our various web applications and infrastructure, and lead the development of major new web applications, including AI-based image correction and video processing.
- Own the WebAPI front-end and back-end implementation, including Stripe integration, custom invoicing system, database management, serverless deployment.
- DevOps related to the management and rollout of all these systems.
Experience
- 5+ years of experience with React development in commercial projects.
- 2+ years as the lead developer.
- Ground-up development with React, Serverless, MongoDB for commercial projects.
Skills
- Front-end: Web Dev in React. 5+ years of experience with React development in commercial projects. 2+ years as the lead developer.
- Back-end: Node.js, Docker, MongoDB, serverless.
- AWS: Lambda, API Gateway, CloudFront, CloudFormation, EC2, Terraform, SQS, Auto-scaling optimization.
- Code management with Git, Gerrit, Jenkins.
- Ability to understand high-level marketing goals, conceive of engineering solutions to meet these needs, implement, test and deploy.
- Ability to root-cause complex bugs, find and implement creative solutions to ensure high product quality.
- Proficient in English, though total fluency isn’t required.
