We are looking for a Design Team Lead (Digital and Print) to join the Marketing Department of AdTech Holding!

While leading a team of creative specialists, you will be responsible for monitoring a high quality of work, setting benchmarks for the team's performance, developing employees' creativity, and communicating with customers.

We expect you to have strong organisational skills, knowledge of various design programs, strategic and critical thinking, and knowledge of the current design trends. We will pay special attention to candidates with experience in implementing and managing several projects of varying complexity in a similar position.

What you will do

  • Manage Design Team (currently 8 specialists). Manage in-house and outsource resources — coordinate and distribute the workload and synchronise employees.
  • Formulate goals and objectives and define a common vision for the team.
  • Organize a pool of tasks based on the priorities from customers (quarterly planning, weekly sprints, unplanned tasks, etc.), evaluate the complexity of tasks, and set actual deadlines.
  • Control every stage of the projects, optimize processes. Be responsible for tasks execution: ensure high quality results, comply with agreements and deadlines.
  • Communicate with stakeholders and project leaders, and actively interact with other teams in the department and company.
  • Formulate and correct tasks from the “customer's” to the “designer's” language. Ensure transparent communication between team members and customers.
  • Assist clients in generating assignments at the level of suggesting ideas and finding references.
  • Resolve difficult situations between employees and customers.
  • Motivate designers to propose creative ideas and promote the creative solutions of the team to clients.
  • Control compliance of design with guidelines and corporate styles.
  • Follow design trends, analyse and put them into practice with the team.
  • Timely assess the workload in the team, and initiate the opening of vacancies. Hire and onboard employees.
  • Develop the professionalism of employees. Set goals, monitor their achievement, provide timely feedback and motivate employees.
  • Negotiate budgets for tasks with customers and outsourcers, process payments for outsourced work.

We are expecting that you have most of these qualifications

  • You have experience as a designer (digital, video, printing) and 5+ years of organisational experience.
  • You have taste and an artistic sense — you can independently distinguish good design from bad design.
  • Your portfolio shows that you are well-versed in graphic design, typography, branding, and perhaps in motion design.
  • Know the basic and latest design applications.
  • You can describe and “show” how to complete a task.
  • You know project management and workflow optimisation techniques.
  • You’re good at negotiating and defending your position.
  • You have experience in managing several projects simultaneously.
  • You understand the difference between short-term and long-term goals, and can quickly adapt to changes.
  • You have a high level of responsibility, attention to detail and can control deadlines.
  • You have a well-structured mindset and knowledge of professional terminology.
  • You can clearly express your thoughts and suggestions to both customers and designers.
  • You know how to simplify the formulation of complex project requirements from customers and make it understandable to designers.
  • You continue to grow both as a professional and as a leader.
  • Your English is at the Upper Intermediate level.

Would be an advantage:

  • Experience with task trackers such as Jira, YouTrack, etc.
  • Experience in marketing or advertising agencies in a similar position.
  • A keen sense of humour — a definite plus.

What we offer

  • Health insurance, sport compensation, fully covered 10 working days of sick leave per year, 5 additional day-offs per year, English language compensation eight lessons per month paid by the company, other languages studying eight lessons per month — company pays 50%, training, quartile and annual bonuses, corporate events, gifts, comfortable office in the city center.
  • It’s a full-time job position with a hybrid working system. Your work schedule can be flexible from 10 AM to 7 PM. As soon as you finish your onboarding process, it can be even more flexible.
  • As for the salary: we have a fixed part and a bonus. The bonus is paid every 3 months and another one — once in a year.
