- As a Senior Product Manager, you will be leading the RH Matching Marketplace product team. Matching plays a very critical role in selecting the right captain for the right demand (booking) which involves optimisation at a network level and balancing customer, captain and careems attributes. We are at a critical juncture where we are developing platform functionalities in matching that other vertical (Food, Grocery, Express) can leverage. You will have tremendous ownership, and it is an invitation to do the most meaningful and challenging work of your career.
Responsibilities
- Product Areas: Leading Matching Marketplace product : Matching supply and demand with multi-objective cost functions, network rebalancing, making customer and captain specific matching features by understanding their needs and optimizing on company goals.
- Strategy & Vision: Developing the strategy and vision for the Matching team, working closely with the markets, product, data science, analytics, and engineers.
- Roadmap: Building and driving the roadmap and being accountable for the impact and outcome.
- Execution: Executing and delivering on measurable results in a high throughput and a high performing environment.
- Voice of Data: Constantly surfacing and examining the opportunities from mining the wealth of data and prioritizing based on strategic ROI and impact.
- SPOC: Becoming the single point of contact of all matching problem spaces, product development, and managing competing priorities with tight constraints.
- Stakeholders Management: Shielding the team and managing stakeholders, bringing stability and principled framework for decision-making and prioritization.
- Team Development: Managing, growing, and mentoring the matching product team members.
- Culture of Impact and Shooting for the Moon: Responsible for growing a best in class Marketplace team, guided by first principles from science and economics, grounded by data, iterating fast with experimentation and compounding improvements, and constantly pushing the envelope through 10x ideas and pilots.
Qualifications
Experience in ride hailing companies, and other two-way, three-way marketplaces — desirable.
- Wealth of experience, leading product for two-sided or three-sided matching team.
- Strong track record in delivering high impact from data and AI through leading multiple cross-teams projects and past history of working with Data Scientists.
- Strong data product management experience. Comfortable and passionate discussing algorithms and ML models tradeoffs, limitations, and advances.
- Impact driven with experimentation and simulation mindset, with experience in common pitfalls and avoiding being fooled by randomness.
- Proactiveness and Clarity: Proactively unblocking and managing cross-vertical and cross-functional dependencies and communication.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, critical thinking, and sound judgment.
- Drive and Motivation: You are motivated to make an impact, deliver results quickly, and raise the bar in the region’s ecosystem.
- Should be comfortable in SQL.
Good to have:
- Degree in Economics or well versed in macro and microeconomics principle (welfare, utilization curve).
